About the Role: Fermilab is seeking an Internship Supervisor - On Call for "The Fermilab Program for Research, Innovation, and STEM Mentorship (PRISM)" designed for rising high school seniors or recent high school graduates. The supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the program, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the overall experience of participating students. What your day-to-day as a PRISM Internship Supervisor at Fermilab will look like:
- Work with the summer school director and content team leads to ensure the successful execution of the summer school program.
- Support students in their learning of the content material, answering questions and providing support to content team leads during the lectures, discussions, and tours. Includes teaching some of the content lessons or interactive labs.
- Take student attendance and collect weekly deliverables from the students.
- Ensure all program activities run smoothly, adhering to the established schedule and Fermilab safety guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with the summer school director regarding the summer school, including any issues that need to be addressed or any schedule adjustments that need to be made.
- Collect both formal and informal feedback from students and staff to support continuous improvement of the program. This may include data analysis and written summaries for reporting purposes.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM Education field
- Previous experience as a STEM Educator
- Previous experience with classroom management
- Availability to work on-site at Fermilab from July 13 through August 7 is required. Remote and in-person meetings to prepare for the summer school and complete any Fermilab required trainings may be scheduled in advance of the summer school and will be paid at the same hourly rate.

Occasional remote meetings prior to the start of the summer school for planning and preparation will also be required and will be paid at the same $50 hourly rate.
