POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for planning and conducting professional internal investigations from beginning to end. Implement programs and assessments related to corporate integrity and compliance initiatives. Maintain a culture of legal compliance, which is critical to and a key component of the company's general business operations. This position's primary duties are directly related to the company's business operations and are in furtherance of the company's business objectives, including but not limited to performance of the specific job duties outlined below.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop investigative strategy and conduct confidential personnel-related investigations involving potential violations of law and/or policies by employees
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders involved in investigations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
3. Conduct confidential employee interviews and gather evidence relative to alleged violations of policies with a legal compliance component
4. Research, collect and analyze digital, documentary, and physical evidence
5. Prepare detailed investigative reports
6. Conduct risk analysis relative to investigations and pursue necessary remedial actions and strategies
7. Provide in-person remedial education related to employee investigations
8. Ensure impartial, respectful and professional behavior in the face of potentially difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation
9. Implement and monitor legal integrity and compliance related programs, assessments and projects
10. Handle controls for major corporate integrity and compliance initiatives including but not limited to Corporate Gifts and Entertainment policy, Trade Association participation guidelines, and action plans related to government agreements
11. Assist in-house attorneys in conducting highly complex assessments related to compliance initiatives; draft recommended action plans; communicate assessment results and monitor compliance with action plans
12. Promote a culture of ethics, compliance and integrity in alignment with the company's goals and business objectives
13. Coordinate with Internal Audit to provide guidance relative to audit parameters and outcomes in relation to FedEx Freight policies and procedures
14. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
15. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years' experience conducting employment law investigations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO matters
* Previous experience handling a minimum of fifteen (15) internal company investigations per year in the last three (3) years, including: witness and employee interviews; data analysis; update case management system; report writing; and briefing executives
* Previous experience in employment law, human resources, employee relations, or in-house security for a corporation
* Advanced degree or certification preferred, such as: Juris Doctor (JD); Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI); Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); Professional Certified Investigator (PCI)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
* Outstanding organizational skills
* Knowledge of FedEx Freight internal policies and procedures, preferred
* Excellent skills with Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information
* Ability to interact with and support employees and leadership across all organizational levels

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Hours will vary due to investigative need
* Fast-paced, deadline oriented
* Frequent travel may be required

Pay Transparency:

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the pay information represents the minimum and maximum range for all levels. Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Eligible employees offered health, vision, and dental insurance, employee assistance program, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, 2 weeks paid parental leave, paid bereavement, employee discounts, 6.67-13.34 hours vacation per month based on service time, 8 paid holidays.

Pay Range: $74,814.00 - $141,847.00 per year

Colorado Pay Ranges: Colorado Springs, Grand Junction $80,050 - $126,479; Henderson, Mead $84,538 - $133,571; Gypsum $89,777 - $141,847

Additional Details: While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight locations in the NOWE region.
