Description

Join Our Team as an EHS Specialist!
PAC by ProAmpac Phoenix, AZ
First Shift. Monday-Friday

Safety is not a poster on the wall here. It is how we operate.
PAC by ProAmpac is a global leader in flexible packaging with a strong safety culture and a commitment to doing things the right way. We are looking for an experienced EHS Specialist who understands manufacturing, knows the regulations, and is ready to lead from the floor.
If you are the person others trust to spot risk before it becomes an incident, keep programs audit-ready, and turn compliance into real behavior change, we want to talk.

Why This Role Matters
You will help protect our people, our facility, and our future. This is not a maintenance role. It is a hands-on, high-visibility position where your expertise directly impacts safety performance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
You will partner with leadership, production, and corporate quality teams to strengthen programs, reduce risk, and continuously improve our EHS performance.

What You'll Do
Drive Compliance and Program Execution
* Design and implement safety and environmental policies and written programs.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Stay ahead of regulatory changes and adjust programs accordingly.
* File and manage required environmental reporting, including air, waste, water, Tier II, and Form R.
Lead Training and Culture
* Deliver EHS training to employees at all levels.
* Support and guide the site safety committee.
* Promote accountability and consistent safe behaviors.
* Conduct safety behavior audits and risk assessments.
Own Audits and Inspections
* Conduct and document EHS audits and inspections.
* Coordinate regulatory visits and inspections.
* Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Manage Risk and Reduce Incidents
* Oversee workers' compensation cases and cost control efforts.
* Analyze safety history, processes, machinery, and chemical exposure risks.
* Lead root cause investigations.
* Support hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal.
Drive Continuous Improvement
* Evaluate current programs and identify gaps.
* Build and support an EHS improvement strategy in partnership with site leadership.
* Turn data into action that reduces risk and strengthens performance.

What We're Looking For
* 3-6 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong working knowledge of:
* Tier II reporting
* SPCC
* Air and stormwater regulations
* Hazardous and universal waste
* Machine guarding and LOTO
* Risk assessments and root cause analysis
* Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred.
* Certifications such as CHMM, ASP, CSP, or CIH preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
* Organized, proactive, and confident in a fast-paced production setting.
* Strong communicator who can work effectively with operators, supervisors, leadership, and regulators.

What You'll Get
* Competitive wages
* 9 paid holidays
* PTO available after 60 days
* Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability benefits
* 401(k)

Who Thrives Here
* Safety professionals who lead by example.
* Manufacturing experts who understand the realities of the production floor.
* Detail-oriented thinkers who do not cut corners.
* People who believe compliance is the baseline, not the goal.

If you are ready to make a measurable impact in a facility that values safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, we would welcome the conversation.
Apply today and help us build a safer tomorrow at PAC by ProAmpac.

*Please note that we are unable to provide any visa sponsorship for this position.
