Mansfield Service Partnersis looking for a Data Analyst for our Houston, TX location.

Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing clear and concise actionable data to support the sales and operations team. The role will work closely with key organizational stakeholders to understand business needs, determine the appropriate methodology for providing results on both ad hoc and recurring requests, assemble reporting from disparate data sources, and provide key insights through summarized tables or dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business needs and data requests
  • Define the appropriate methodology for presenting data elements for both long-term recurring requests and one-off questions
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources including excel spreadsheets, SQL databases, and API connections
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, join, and consolidate datasets from multiple databases
  • Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor's degree in data science/analytics, statistics, engineering, mathematics or related field

Knowledge & Experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced SQL skills preferred
  • Power BI design skills preferred but not required
  • Experience with an ERP or accounting system is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity or background with the wholesale fuel industry preferred but not required

Work Environment

  • 40-hour on-site work week
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
