THE ROLE

Be the backbone of our Perioperative team at Atlanta's Level 1 Trauma Center. As a Surgical Support Technician, you're the nurse extender who keeps everything running smoothly-from OR to PACU to Pre-op and beyond.

You'll partner with physicians, nurses, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency across all perioperative settings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Patient Safety & Transport
* Access and transport patients safely across clinical areas
* Assist with patient positioning and lifting in OR, PACU, Pre-op, GI, and Anesthesia settings
* Use specialty devices to ensure safety and optimal outcomes

Clinical Operations Support
* Maintain clinical equipment and supplies
* Assist with OR room, GI, PACU, and Pre-op turnovers
* Support core supply areas
* Ensure safe delivery of pathology specimens

Environment & Compliance
* Promote clean, sanitary, and orderly perioperative environments
* Perform regulatory compliance audits
* Support department safety and quality metric goals

You'll report to charge nurses, Clinical Service Managers (CSMs), and Directors-working alongside certified surgical technologists, GI techs, RNs, and ward clerks.

WHAT YOU NEED

High School Diploma or GED
BLS certification (AHA - American Heart Association)
