About the Role

Senior accounting leader responsible for driving accurate, consistent accounting execution across the organization, including oversight of international operations. Works closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and technical accounting team to operationalize complex accounting conclusions into scalable processes. Primary areas of focus include revenue accounting execution, front-end booking discipline, and global lease accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Leadership & Execution



  • Drive timely and consistent accounting execution across domestic and international operations in close partnership with technical accounting.
  • Apply senior-level judgment to complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, significant estimates, reserves, leases, and non-routine transactions.
  • Partner with the CAO and technical accounting leadership to set priorities, resolve escalated issues, and ensure accounting conclusions are effectively implemented.
  • Identify and address execution gaps, process breakdowns, and areas of elevated accounting risk.


Revenue, Leases & Global Accounting Execution



  • Lead revenue accounting processes to ensure accurate and compliant booking at the source, including contract intake, review, and handoff.
  • Oversee revenue recognition methodologies, including percentage-of-completion accounting, and strengthen processes around change orders, contract modifications, and estimate updates.
  • Provide dotted-line oversight of international accounting teams to drive consistent execution across regions.
  • Oversee global lease accounting under ASC 842, ensuring consistent application, completeness, and disciplined execution across the international footprint.
  • Drive consistency in process design, documentation, and execution standards across revenue and lease accounting.


Process Improvement & Scalability



  • Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, and risk areas across accounting and lead targeted improvements.
  • Build scalable accounting processes to support growth, acquisitions, and increasing operational complexity.
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting policies to ensure consistent application across the organization.


Cross-Functional Partnership



  • Partner with business leaders, operations, legal, FP&A, and IT to embed accounting requirements into business processes.
  • Serve as a pragmatic accounting partner capable of influencing outcomes while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on operational accounting matters.


Qualifications



  • CPA required.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • Strong technical accounting background with hands-on experience in revenue recognition and global lease accounting.
  • Proven ability to design and enforce effective accounting processes and controls.
