Overview

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced Rebuild Manager. This position will report to the Corporate Product Support Strategic Growth Manager.

Note: We are recruiting for one open position that could be based anywhere within our territory. We have advertised this position in multiple cities.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000 based on experience.



Responsibilities

    Strategic ownership of equipment and component rebuild process and execution, with specific focus on Certified Component, Certified Powertrain and Complete Certified Rebuilds. Additional focus and responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Engagement and alignment on strategic growth objectives to ensure capacity and capabilities for efficient and profitable throughput
  • Engagement and oversight in rebuild inspection process
  • Definition of inspection guidelines and establishment of training for inspectors or product support representatives
  • Post inspection review and validation with recommendations
  • Track inspection accuracy
  • Engagement and facilitation in prework planning, job assignments and execution
  • Ownership of rebuild quoting process with emphasis on quality and consistency across the organization
  • Oversight of rebuild execution and compliance to the customer won quote
  • Tracking and report out on post invoice performance, discounting and profitability with recommended forward looking actions and changes
  • Corporate collaboration on strategies and tactics to facilitate continuous improvement in oversight, performance and execution
  • Provide strategic insight and direction to drive competitive pricing
  • Store engagement on performance and recommendations for changes and improvement
  • Regular collaboration and engagement with Parts and Service General Managers for the associated regions to drive operational changes in pursuit of optimal performance
  • Develop and maintain a rebuild process manual outlining reporting and procedural processes to ensure longevity and a one safe source for the rebuild program
  • Continually look for areas to improve technician efficiency
  • Cross departmental collaboration and partnership in pursuing Aftermarket objectives both sales and operational
  • Travel throughout the territory is expected


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' experience in Product Support (Parts and/or Service Operations)
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related business field is preferred. Equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Working knowledge of parts, components, equipment and services offered.
  • Knowledge of financial budgeting, as well as ability to prepare marketing plans.
  • Ability to effectively lead, influence and communicate with others both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results.
  • Experience in managing multiple employees.
  • Ability to recognize and manage confidential materials and information.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with CAT dealer parts/service systems preferred.
