As a Tac Truck Driver, you are responsible to operate and maintain tac truck to spray bituminous asphalt cement oil on roadway surface. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:



  • Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
  • Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on oil truck.
  • Safely and properly operates truck equipped with oil or bituminous emulsions.
  • Connects hose from storage tank to truck tank and moves lever to fill pressure tank with bituminous liquid.
  • Regulates burner to heat liquid and starts auxiliary pump.
  • Drives truck at constant speed.
  • Completes load tickets.
  • Assists construction crews while waiting to unload.
  • Maintains proper information in truck cab pouch.
  • Inventory and order tac.
  • Thoroughly clean and maintain tac nozzles on a daily basis.
  • Barricades commercial parking lots
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

As a successful Tac Truck Driver, you will have:



  • The ability to hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL license in accordance with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • The ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
