DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Semi Skilled Laborer, you will perform manual labor and provide essential support to the maintenance team. You will determine effective work methods and procedures for daily assignments. This role involves:


  • Groundskeeping work including cutting grass, trimming trees and bushes, landscaping, and snow removal
  • Assisting various trades and maintenance staff with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and construction tasks
  • Preparing and painting interior and exterior areas
  • Digging and cleaning drainage ditches, culverts, and fill in washouts
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Delivering parts and supplies
  • Maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

  • You must be in possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
