Job Description

The Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position. Substantive teaching and research areas are open. Responsibilities include:

  • scholarly research/publishing,
  • pursuit of extramural funding,
  • high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, and
  • service to students, the School, the university, and the discipline.

Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to community engagement in research and teaching, and will work effectively with non-/traditional students from varied backgrounds.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Ph.D. by start date in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field;

  • Advanced All But Dissertation (ABD) applicants will be considered.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience, evidence of externally funded research, and credentials.

This is a 9-month (academic year), full-time, benefit-eligible, tenure-track, ranked faculty appointment.
