Join our team committed to the delivery of the highest quality healthcare service. We are seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer who is self-motivated, energetic, and a take-charge individual.

Job Responsibilities:


  1. The COO ensures efficient delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and operational excellence across all departments.
  2. Oversee operational departments and services, including but not limited to: Facilities, Clinic Managers, Purchasing, Call Center, Patient Financial Services, Registration, Patient Experience Advocates, Referrals, Health Records, and Schedulers.
  3. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement organizational strategies, including growth initiatives, technology integrations, and performance improvement plans aligned with HRSA requirements and FQHC standards. Lead departmental strategic planning efforts to align individual department goals with overall organizational objectives, ensuring cross-functional coordination and measurable outcomes.
  4. Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle operations for assigned departments in partnership with the CFO. Ensure fiscal sustainability through grant compliance, reimbursement optimization (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, 340B pharmacy programs), and resource allocation.
  5. Oversee contracts for facility-related projects, including construction, renovation, maintenance, and vendor agreements. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and FQHC guidelines, while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to minimize disruptions to patient care.
  6. Lead a diverse team of department heads (e.g., operations, HR, IT, facilities) to build a high-performing culture. Promote staff retention, professional development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  7. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies. Drive innovation in service delivery.
  8. Optimize workflows, patient throughput, and service delivery.
  9. Lead or participate in Quality Improvement Teams as needed.
  10. Develop, implement and maintain operational policies and procedures that govern activities over assigned areas of responsibility.
  11. Monitor quality of services provided by assigned staff and provide corrections as needed.
  12. Monitor KPIs including revenue cycle, cost containment, and productivity. Use data analytics to inform decision-making and report progress to the CEO and board.
  13. Collaborate with CFO on forecasting and capital planning.
  14. Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining quality care.
  15. Hire, develop and provide orientation and training programs for new employees.
  16. Conduct employee performance evaluations and employee development and improvement planning for assigned staff.
  17. Provide supervision of staff regarding personnel issues, clinical policies and procedures, and other administrative issues.
  18. Maintain employees' time sheets and process Time and Attendance.
  19. Continuously update related policies and procedures and review all policies and procedures biennially.
  20. Oversee the continual readiness and compliance for accreditation as it relates to HRSA, Joint Commission, Medical Home and grant requirements.


Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field supervisory experience.
  2. Experience in Healthcare operations.
  3. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
