Job Description Johnson County Government's Department of Health and Environment (DHE) is actively recruiting for the position of Business Operations Division Director. The Business Operations Division Director is a member of the department Executive Team and serves as finance and budget director and provides strategic leadership and oversight of the department's fiscal, operational, and administrative functions. This role ensures financial integrity, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration to support the department's mission and County objectives. This position will remain open until filled, with the first review of candidates anticipated on March 27. Responsibilities include:
Ensures integrity of the department by developing, analyzing and monitoring grant and fiscal activities and budgets; provides oversight of contracts; delegates duties to assure that generally accepted accounting practices are established for all fiscal activities; monitors, evaluates, recommends and implements procedures regarding budgets on a monthly basis; provides management information and forecasting to other divisions; collaborates with other divisions to ensure adherence to County, federal, and State policies; assures highest level of revenue is generated from current activities; assures that staff participates in latest training/education relative to fiscal programs.
Job Requirements Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. Three (3) years leading, directing, supervising or coordinating the work of others in business or financial operations. Preferred Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. Experience can substitute for education. Education can substitute for experience. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. This position requires successful completion of a tuberculosis (TB) test as a condition of employment. | |||||||||||||||||
