Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for covering the front desk area of the Agency by answering the main phone lines, checking and distributing Agency voice mail messages, processing mail and assisting clients with issues as they arise by connecting them with their Agent. Candidates must have the discipline to organize their work time and task execution, the ability to make timely decisions and to adhere to structured administrative processes.

Job Duties:

  • Answer phone and direct calls to the appropriate extension.
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors.
  • Open mail, date stamp and distribute mail and distribute incoming emails.
  • Prepare, price and track UPS and other overnight services.
  • Receive premium payments, provide receipts and record sending out of payments.
  • Prepare daily deposit and check for errors.
  • Keep track of daily transactions and reconcile Company Exchange checking account.
  • Become knowledgeable in the functions of all office equipment.
  • Order and account for office supplies.
  • Track and process insurance licenses and license renewals for the agency and licensed agents.
  • Complete Security and Safety checklists.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of previous customer service experience .
  • Previous experience in insurance, especially within an independent brokerage firm preferred.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team player.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Two years of prior customer service experience.
