Job Summary: Oversee Money Room personnel and basic functions of the Money room. Ensure that all Federal and State regulatory guidelines along with department procedures are complied with to safeguard Canterbury Park's assets. Responsible for supporting the Company's mission, vision, and values by providing an unparalleled experience of fun and entertainment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead by example.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities.
  • Safeguard Canterbury Park's assets and adhere to department policies and procedures.
  • Apply positive communication and interpersonal skills with guests (internal and external) at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and department policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training of new Money Room employees.
  • Ensure that the amount of currency and coin are on hand to meet daily operation requirements.
  • Prepares federal reserve-ready cash deposits from the vault. Verifies all checks for deposit.
  • Prepares daily reports and reconcile beginning and ending cash balances.
  • Has responsibility for verifying all buys and supplying needed cash and coin to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure that all impressed banks are returned and verified after end shift.
  • Prepare department banks and change banks.
  • Reconcile, record and provide reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Held accountable to a high degree for accuracy, confidentiality and thoroughness of department's records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervision:



  • Under the direction of Cash Operations Management provide daily supervision of count team


Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Required.
  • Basic math aptitude required.
  • Minimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of gaming and cash operations policy and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills.
  • Excellent internal guest service skills.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, and credit check.
  • Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

  • Requires frequent wrist and hand use
