Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Manager, Application Delivery - Commercial As the Manager, Application Delivery - Commercial you will act as critical IT partner to the Commercial function, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams. This role is responsible for identifying and delivering technology solutions that drive revenue growth, customer engagement, sales productivity, and digital transformation. By building strong relationships with Commercial leaders, this role ensures IT investments are aligned with go-to-market strategies and customer needs.
This Manager role will be the Digital Point of Contact (DPC) for Commercial teams, the point of contact as it relates to commercial applications and the point of contact for digital partners implementing and supporting the commercial applications.

DPC for Commercial Teams:

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Acts as the primary IT point of contact for Commercial teams for all things digital related
  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Digital teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement system enhancements; translates business requirements into IT project scope and roadmaps
  • Leads the planning, resource prioritization and implementation of Digital projects that support Commercial functions including CRM platforms, marketing automation, customer data platforms and sales enablement tools
  • Leads the implementation of the new customer portal for Arcwood which will include selecting a partner, reimaging the way we work, working with the Commercial teams and customers identified for immediate feedback along the way to deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Serves as the ongoing lead for all things related to the customer portal
  • Identifies and resolves risks, dependencies, and resource constraints
  • Helps develop and maintains documentation including process flows, user guides and training materials in partnership with the commercial teams
  • Collaborates with Commercial teams and data analytics groups to improve visibility into sales performance, pipeline, customer behavior, and market trends (interfacing with Digital Analytics team when needed)
  • Supports the implementation of dashboards, BI tools, and predictive analytics
  • Monitors and reports Targets to Improve (TTI) metrics, system usage and feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimization
  • Helps coordinate and schedule steering committee meetings for projects, where required, to obtain the necessary approvals and provide status updates to the project
  • Promotes digital tools to enhance customer engagement and experience across channels

DPC for Digital Teams:

  • Collaborates with IT architecture, security, and development teams to ensure commercial solutions meet enterprise standards
  • Owns the roadmap, lifecycle and performance of Commercial applications, ensures the on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of IT initiatives
  • Identifies and resolves risks, dependencies, and resource constraints
  • Maintains responsibility for system configuration, testing, and deployment of updates, patches and new features; leads user acceptance testing (UAT), training and change management for commercial application deployments in partnership with the commercial teams
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Leads team in system upgrades, migrations and integrations with third-party commercial applications
  • Drives integration of customer and sales data across platforms (ERP, CRM, digital)
  • Ensures commercial systems are compliant with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

DPC for Partners Delivering Commercial Initiatives:

  • Manages relationships with application vendors, system integrations and third-party providers; oversees vendor performance, SLAs, upgrades and issue resolution
  • Explores and recommends emerging technologies to enhance commercial capabilities (e.g., AI for lead scoring, chatbots, AR/VR in marketing)
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education

- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, marketing or related field (required)


Experience

  • 7+ years of experience implementing IT applications (required)
  • Experience gathering operational requirements and translating them into technical solutions (required)
  • Experience leading applications teams or acting as a functional lead (required)
  • Previous experience working with Customer portal, Salesforce and other CRM systems, digital marketing platforms and sales analytics tools (preferred)
