Parkhill is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team! The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and development of modern software solutions that advance Parkhill's digital capabilities and support the firm's design, engineering, and operational workflows. This role plays a key part in shaping scalable applications, cloud-based platforms, and data-driven systems that enable innovation across the organization. Working across the full technology stack, the Senior Software Engineer will build high-quality web and desktop applications, contribute to evolving cloud infrastructure, and help establish development standards that ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable systems. This position also serves as a technical leader within the Digital Solutions team, mentoring engineers, guiding best practices, and driving continuous improvement in how Parkhill builds and utilizes software. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with14offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.



Responsibilities

    Design, architect, and develop modern web and desktop applications that support Parkhill's internal platforms and digital initiatives.
  • Build and maintain full-stack solutions using technologies such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Vue.js, and Blazor.
  • Design and implement scalable backend APIs and microservices to support complex data workflows and system integrations.
  • Contribute to the design, optimization, and maintenance of Parkhill's cloud infrastructure and application hosting environments.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Azure App Services and virtual machines to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Establish and promote best practices for software architecture, design patterns, Git workflows, and code review processes.
  • Review pull requests to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Implement application security measures and advocate for secure development practices across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability through process and technical improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support long-term system understanding and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of coding experience, Full Stack developer (preferred).
  • Utilize coding languages like: JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL.
  • Extensive experience using source control systems (Git) and issue tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
  • Ability to design, lead, and integrate RESTful APIs and work with modern backend architectures.
  • Strong experience with Node.js or .NET Core for backend and application development.
  • Deep familiarity with relational and non-relational database technologies (e.g., CosmosDB, MongoDB).
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS and modern UI component libraries.
