The Position:

Chameleon Integrated Services is currently looking for a remote, SME Information Technology Project Manager to support one of our federal clients in a high-visibility federal cybersecurity ad compliance program.

Due to federal contract requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship. Lawful permanent residents (green card holders) and individuals requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible for this role.

*This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract and subsequent funding.*

Overview:

The SME IT Project Manager serves as the overall contract lead and executive interface for a large-scale federal cybersecurity and compliance program. This individual provides strategic oversight of assessment operations supporting FISMA, RMF, and FedRAMP initiatives.

This role owns contract execution, staffing strategy, quality control, integrated master schedule management, and executive reporting within an audit-sensitive federal environment.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Executive stakeholder communication and briefing
  • Integrated master schedule (IMS) development and control
  • Federal program delivery under FISMA and RMF frameworks
  • FedRAMP and cloud authorization familiarity
  • Oversight of large, multi-team assessment operations
  • Financial, staffing, and performance reporting
  • Quality assurance and audit-defensible documentation standards
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and federal compliance requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary Government point of contact
  • Lead contract execution and transition planning
  • Oversee cybersecurity assessment teams and deliverables
  • Manage schedule, staffing, and workload balancing
  • Provide executive reporting on program status and metrics
  • Ensure timely delivery of assessment documentation packages
  • Maintain quality standards across all outputs

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of IT project or program management experience
  • At least 8 years leading large, complex IT initiatives
  • Federal cybersecurity or compliance program experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred

Certs Required:
  • PMP required
  • DAWIA PM Level III (preferred)
  • ITIL or Agile certifications (preferred)


Clearance:
  • Public Trust (or ability to obtain)
