Position Summary:

The Social Media Associate is is a key member of the FMHC marketing team responsible for developing, executing, and managing social media strategies for FMHC and five-member bank accounts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this team member is both a strategic and creative thinker serving as a subject matter expert on the use of both paid and organic social in achieving marketing goals.

The associate creates engaging content, manages online communities, and analyzes performance to enhance brand visibility across all social media platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy Development: Design and implement social media strategies aligned with business objectives. These strategies will be informed by marketplace trends, platform algorithms, and competitor activity. Stay current on social media trends, emerging channels, and best practices; test and make recommendations for new initiatives and innovative concepts to better leverage value of social media programs.

Content Creation and Scheduling: Develop engaging content including text, images, videos, GIFs, reels and stories; maintain content calendars and schedule posts using a social media platform.

Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions; foster engagement and build relationships with followers to enhance brand loyalty.

Paid Social: Recommend, buy, and manage social media boosted and sponsored content and advertisements to targeted audiences - increasing reach, engagement, and leads.

Analytics and Reporting: Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, click-through rates; generate reports and adjust strategies based on insights. Present reports on social performance to internal teams and clients, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Collaboration: Work with marketing team members and member banks to execute integrated campaigns and maintain consistent brand voice. Provides leadership to social media brand ambassadors to improve coordination of messaging and to encourage employee advocacy.

Crisis Management: Handle escalations or negative feedback professionally, protecting the brand's reputation; lead bank closure/delay announcements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field is required.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in managing social media for multiple accounts and clients is required; agency experience is preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of social platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  4. Proven ability to develop visually compelling, brand-forward content including motion graphics and short-form video.
  5. Excellent written communication skills and an elevated editorial sensibility is required.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines is required.
  7. Experience managing content creator programs that fuel social growth is required.

Physical Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear and speak.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Must have valid Ohio Driver's License and access to personal transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to Member Bank locations and to other business-related meetings.
  • This position is performed in a hybrid setting five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p.
