ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounts Payable Specialist III is responsible for independently managing complex accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role reviews and reconciles vendor statements, resolves complex or escalated discrepancies, and ensures proper approvals are obtained. The specialist supports month-end and year-end close activities, assists with 1099 preparation, and provides functional guidance and training to junior staff. The position requires deep knowledge of accounts payable processes, GAAP, and ERP/accounting systems, exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information while delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
