As a Titles & Liens Specialist, you'll play a key role in protecting the credit union and our members by ensuring liens are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all requirements. You'll be the go-to expert who keeps things on track, solves problems, and improves processes along the way.

What You'll Do

Own the Process

  • Manage the end-to-end lien process - from filing and perfection through release and follow-up
  • Ensure all liens are handled in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
  • Process New York State titles and navigate out-of-state filings with confidence
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for lien filing processes and requirements
  • Keep documentation, procedures, and training materials up to date
  • Process UCC filings and lien releases within required timelines
  • Manage requests and resolve issues within established service levels
  • Handle updates such as address changes and corrections

Support Our Members & Teams

  • Create and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Spot trends, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
  • Communicate with members to obtain missing information
  • Follow up on outstanding title requirements (including high-balance accounts)
  • Partner with internal teams like Loss Mitigation to support repossession and title needs

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1+ year of financial services experience (lending experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Solid communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Starting Compensation: $20.68-$24.82/hr. annually, plus a competitive benefits package.
