Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time psychiatrist with the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor on the non-tenure Clinician-Educator track. We seek candidates with the experience and desire to treat patients with bipolar disorders within a newly formed and growing multidisciplinary center focused on comprehensive treatment of bipolar illness. The candidate will join a rich, collaborative environment with other clinicians and scientists in the Feinberg School of Medicine and throughout the University. Qualified candidates will have a strong clinical background in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental illnesses. We are specifically seeking someone with interest and expertise in bipolar disorder. Preferred candidates have interest and expertise in the evidence-based assessment and treatment of patients with bipolar disorders and a desire to work within a multidisciplinary team setting focused on patient and family centered care, quality improvement, and measurable outcomes. They will also have board certification/eligibility in Pyschiatry (ABPN). Successful applicants will have a commitment to undergraduate and graduate medical education within the department's clinical practice and didactic curriculum. Candidates that are board-eligible or certified in a subspecialty discipline such as Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, or have additional interest in contributing partial effort to inpatient acute care services will be given special consideration. Applicants will also have well developed competencies that facilitate their work with varied communities and patient populations. Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) is an 894-bed academic medical center hospital that is the primary teaching affiliate for the Feinberg School of Medicine and has nearly 1,900 affiliated physicians representing virtually every medical specialty. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $225,000 - $300,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
