Architecture South Supervisor

As a result of our expansive and continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated supervisor to lead staff within our Architecture South group at one of the following Mead & Hunt office locations: Tampa (FL), Lexington (SC), or North Charleston (SC).

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising, managing, and mentoring architectural staff
• Evaluating staff performance and helping with goal setting for professional growth
• Assisting project managers with staffing assignments
• Managing staff productivity to meet target goals
• Providing project management or leading architectural technical leadership on projects that include local/state/federal government and aviation projects across the country, including project deliverables such as reports, studies, specifications, and construction documents
• Providing quality (QC) reviews
• Assisting in the development of design and production standards
• Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and travel will be required.

The successful candidate must meet at least both the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university
• At least 3 years of relevant experience

OR

• Associate degree in architecture from an accredited college or university
• At least 5 years of relevant experience

OR

• If no degree, must have at least 7 years of relevant architectural experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:

• Architectural license
• At least 7 years of relevant experience is highly preferred
• Supervising or mentoring staff

• Coordinating multiple stakeholders, including public agencies and/or military clients
• Project Management

• Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.

• Leading design and drawing production
• Various Project Delivery Methods: Design/Bid/Build, Design Build or Construction Manager at Risk projects
• Negotiating scope and fees for publicly funded projects
