Title: P-8 Aircraft Mechanic Location: Jacksonville, FL 32221 Duration: 9 + Months assignment with possible extension Pay rate: $37/hr. on W2 Without Benefits Shift Schedule: Candidates must be available to work both 1st and 2nd shift. Role & Responsibilities: Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components. General knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques). Knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites . Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Physical requirements: Standard workplace requirements to climb ladders, enter confined space, and ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Must Haves: Highschool Diploma. P8 experience. Plusses: Military/ commercial experience is a plus. 737 experience is a plus. Required Education: High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
