Description
As a Central Service Technician (CST), you will play a vital role in supporting patient care across the UCLA Health System by ensuring clinical areas are consistently stocked with the medical supplies and equipment needed for safe, efficient operations. This position is responsible for the distribution, replenishment, and inventory management of supplies in alignment with departmental priorities and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities

The ideal Central Service Technician candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand healthcare environment. The incumbent must demonstrate strong English verbal and written communication skills and possess the interpersonal abilities needed to effectively collaborate with clinical staff, peers, and leadership. Candidates must have experience working with surgical specialty supplies and within an Operating Room (OR) or procedural environment, demonstrating the ability to support and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the timely availability of supplies required for patient care. The candidate must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational skills, discipline, and accountability to meet established deadlines and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. Multitasking and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with the ability to quickly respond to operational needs and resolve supply-related issues in a timely manner. The individual must have the ability to prioritize daily tasks based on operational demands, ensuring that critical supply needs are addressed and completed efficiently throughout the workday. Experience or comfort with data entry and maintaining records within inventory or database systems is required, along with the ability to complete administrative tasks in an organized and timely manner. The candidate must also be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute ideas for operational improvements, follow instructions as directed by management, and consistently adhere to UCLA Health policies, departmental procedures, and organizational standards. | |
