Position: Offline Winder Helper
Location: Hartsville Paper Converting
Wage: $24.82 + weekly incentive
Shift: 7a-5p rotate 5p-3am Monday thru Thursday with potential overtime. Forecast

This posting is for an Offline Winder Helper. The OLW Helper will participate in department activities involving safety, quality, production, training, and SPS. The candidate must be able to multi-task, have strong problem solving, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills; both oral and written. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Fork Truck and Clam Truck license.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for 71 Winder
  • Enter data in the Optivision system
  • Work with OLW Lead to plan schedules based on production runs
  • Operate Propane Powered Clamp Truck, Forklift, and other material handling equipment
  • Read and interpret sheet orders from Order Fulfillment
  • Print labels for identification and shipping of products
  • Maintain food grade housekeeping standards
  • Conduct routine quality checks
  • Perform other related duties as directed
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision
  • Prior Winding/ Slitting Experience is preferred
  • Must be able to meet or exceed production targets

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Manufacturing environment preferred in slitting, rewinding and packaging
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be in good standing with attendance, safety, and quality policies
  • Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must
  • Able to perform all physical requirements, including but not limited to bending, lifting, stretching, stooping, reaching, and working in ambient summer and winter temperatures * Able to do basic production related computations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is desired.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity in relation to safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions and specification sheets.
  • Possess an understanding of continuous improvement methodology and experience with continuous improvement tools
