The University of Cincinnati, Hoxworth Blood Center, Immunohematology Reference Laboratory (IRL) is recruiting a full-time (100% FTE) Clinical Lab Scientist (Level 1 or 2) for second shift. We seek motivated individuals with strong critical thinking, communication, and independent work skills. Experience in blood banking is preferred. Responsibilities include performing routine and complex quality control testing on blood and blood components, as well as high-level evaluation, review, and interpretation of test results. Candidates must be able to perform with minimal supervision, be proficient in computerized data entry and retrieval functions, and communicate effectively across departments. Compensation and Schedule: Sign on Bonus: $5,000 Starting pay range (based on experience): Clinical Lab Scientist 1 - $28-30/hour Clinical Lab Scientist 2 - $31-34/hour Shift Available: (8 or 10 - hour shifts) Second Shift: 12:30 or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Shift differential: $4/hour Candidates will be expected to work rotating weekends - 1 to 2 weekends per month - 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM Please Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Required Trainings/Certifications Require MLT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), BB(ASCP), or SBB(ASCP). Required Experience Two (2) years of relevant experience. Required Education
