About the Opportunity:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, maintain, and improve electrical systems, machining, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and safety. They work on power distribution, control systems, and industrial machinery, often supervising the installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate systems for machining, assembly, welding, and inspection.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot electrical components, controls, and manufacturing systems.
  • Improve production efficiency through enhanced electrical systems, energy management, and predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure all machinery and systems comply with safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations.
  • Review drawings and concepts and resolve producibility concerns, such as providing recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials
  • Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
  • Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
  • Create manufacturing assembly documentation, concept tools and provide technical assistance.
  • Support failure investigations, determine root cause of failure, and implement corrective actions, in support of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with teams to install new equipment and complete projects within budget and on time.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical engineering field
  • At least 3 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Programmable Logic Controllers), CAD software, robotics, and electrical circuit analysis is crucial.
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems (prints, VFDs, motors, drives, servos, sensors...)
  • Knowledge of 460VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC, 5VDC systems
  • Knowledge of ladder logic software (ProWORX 32, RSLogix, SoMachine)
  • Knowledge of robots (Yaskawa Motoman)
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software for designing
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software for design
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Siemens PLCs and drives
  • Knowledge of a variety of Fluke meters
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present capacity risks and opinions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate supplier commits, interpret supplier performance signals, and translate capacity limitations into actionable planning inputs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate supplier data into actionable planning insights
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting capacity risks and options to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments and help define processes where none exist

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
