About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for aEvent Ops Post Graduate Intern. This position's essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: staffing and supervision of event staff team members and student workers, assisting visiting teams and officials, producing and updating various sport operations manuals, assist in the setup, breakdown and game operations for all home contests and some facility rentals, communication with various units within the department as well as external groups and general office duties. Specific sport responsibilities will be assigned by the Associate AD for Event Operations.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree by time of hire
  • Excellent time management, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working at an NCAA Division 1 athletic department in event and game day management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong customer service, leadership and organizational skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license at all times
  • A desire to pursue a career in intercollegiate athletics event management


Preferred Qualifications:



  • General knowledge of NCAA competition guidelines related to game management
  • 1 year of Event Management related experience working with an intercollegiate athletics department
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator


Additional Role Information:



  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and outside in extreme weather conditions

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
