THE ROLE:

As a Senior System Test Engineering Manager within the Product Development Group, you will lead system test engineering efforts that enable AMD's nextgeneration accelerator products from early development through highvolume manufacturing. This role is responsible for defining systemlevel test strategy, driving execution across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments, and ensuring robust coverage for functionality, compatibility, and reliability.

You will manage and mentor a team of system test engineers while working crossfunctionally with design, product engineering, operations, and business partners to ensure products meet quality, schedule, and customer expectations. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strong execution ownership in a fastpaced product development environment.

THE PERSON:

You are a collaborative and resultsdriven engineering leader with a strong background in system test and product development. You balance technical depth with people leadership, are comfortable guiding teams through complex and ambiguous challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You take ownership, proactively remove obstacles, and are motivated by delivering highquality products to market through strong team execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of system test engineers supporting Instinct accelerator product development
  • Define and execute systemlevel test strategies spanning presilicon planning, postsilicon bringup, customer samples, and highvolume manufacturing
  • Drive alignment on test coverage, validation readiness, and quality metrics across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments
  • Partner crossfunctionally with Design, Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, and Customer Engineering teams
  • Oversee planning and execution for system test deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Identify technical, schedule, and quality risks; drive mitigation plans and escalation as needed
  • Communicate program and execution status, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
  • Collaborate closely with globally distributed teams, including Asiabased engineering and operations organizations
  • Champion continuous improvement in test methodologies, tools, processes, and team execution

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience leading system test or validation teams in semiconductor product development
  • Strong background supporting GPU, accelerator, or complex SoCbased products
  • Experience with presilicon planning, postsilicon validation, customer sampling, and manufacturing readiness
  • Proven people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance development
  • Experience working in complex, crossfunctional, and geographically distributed engineering environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status and recommendations to senior or directorlevel leadership
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, Windows OS) for planning, tracking, and reporting

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
