About the Facility:Center for Behavioral Medicinecurrently operates 65 adult acute beds and 25 adult residential beds. CBM operates three group homes in the community and serves the Greater Kansas City, Missouri area and surrounding counties with intensive and specialized behavioral health treatments. The Center focuses its services on bridging the gap between physical and behavioral medicine with an emphasis on wellness. The Center provides a therapeutic approach to recovery that assists individuals to progress regardless of their limitations or symptoms. CBM utilizes evidence based diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in a holistic approach to patient treatment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an authoritative resource on the optimal use of medications used to treat individuals with psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders

  • Optimize the outcomes of diverse populations of inpatients and outpatients with a variety of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders and a range of complexity of problems by providing evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team

  • Demonstrate leadership and practice management skills

  • Demonstrate excellence in the provision of training or educational activities for health care professionals, health care professionals in training, and the public

  • Evaluate and improve the medication-use process in psychiatric and neuropsychiatric patient care areas

  • Conduct psychiatric pharmacy practice research

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the State of Missouri

  • Completed a pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience for those applying to PGY2 programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Register for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), if applicable to the residency/fellowship program

  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services

  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics

  • Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology

  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Proven ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary team or committee

  • Proven problem solving ability and analytical thinking preferred

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $55,000 to $85,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
