Description


  • Manages rates & costs for contract work including setting rates, setting budgeted hours, monitoring costs, etc.
  • Develops contract work equipment account five year equipment plan.
  • Supports the management of equipment divisions, five year equipment plans, and capital projects within their areas.
  • Supports estimators on large projects when needed.
  • Provides options, availability, and pricing for plant equipment to estimators.
  • Sets up, operates and maintains critical construction equipment.
  • Inspects, values, performs due diligence, and provides recommendations regarding potential company and equipment acquisitions.
  • Coordinates procurement process of large assets such as plants, plant equipment, and concrete equipment.
  • Monitors rented equipment payments to ensure optimal cost savings.
  • Approves all equipment requests, leases, and disposals.
  • Develops and manages concrete paving fleet while working with concrete management group.
  • Evaluates equipment rates, cost competitiveness, utilization, and overall equipment account balance for equipment in area via use of Equipment Cost variance report.
  • Promotes maximum equipment utilization through recommendations of equipment moves.
  • Ensures all people and equipment are working in a safe manner meeting all local, state, and Federal laws.
  • Assists in the obtaining of and compliance with all environmental permits, laws, and company policies.
  • Mentors, coaches and provides feedback to REMs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
