Our industry-leading brands include Tetra, Instant Ocean, Marineland, 8-in-1, Dingo, FURminator, Nature's Miracle, GloFish, DreamBone and SmartBones.Job Summary Works in production performing a variety of general activities including lifting, dispensing of materials, machine operations, light assembly, cleaning and trash disposal and any other manual operation that would occur in the Pet manufacturing environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Model the Spectrum Brands Values and Behaviors to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility. Load containers on line at a rate acceptable to machine output Ensure daily production meets or exceeds quality requirements Check product for quality defects such as wrinkled labels, missing barcodes or lot/batch labels, damaged containers, etc. Remove defective products or materials off line to be evaluated by proper personnel Remove completed products and place them in proper shipping containers Sprayer insertion on sprayer bottles Mark and label containers, container tags or products according to work order specifications Seal containers containing liquid stain and odor removers/shampoos/aquarium cleaning solutions according to work order specifications Stack finished product on pallets Clean materials, supplies and work areas Restock production areas/lines Rotate through all tasks required in production areas Observe equipment operations so that any malfunctions can be detected and notify operator of malfunctions Ability to operate tube filling, pouch filling or tube labeler machine Assist machine operators when necessary Required Skills Repetitive movements required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Work Environment Repetitive movements required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Must be available to work across multiple shifts. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must wear all prescribed PPE including, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator and steel toed shoes. Otherwise, working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
