ABOUT THE TEAM

The Customer Zero Solution Architecture team operates within Customer Engineering (CE) - part of the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) engineering organization. CE is the customer expertise hub for AEP, RTCDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), covering both consumer-focused and enterprise capabilities. Customer Zero is CE's most ambitious and forward-thinking group. Working closely with strategic accounts, the team validates new capabilities, builds solution prototypes prior to product release, and relays direct customer insights back to product and engineering. This is where the most complex, large-scale AEP implementations come to life - before anyone else gets there.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Solution Architect on Customer Zero, the focus is depth over breadth. This individual contributor role spans the full use case lifecycle: discovery, architecture, implementation, and product feedback. The work involves close collaboration with Forward Deployment Engineers (FDEs), Principal Architects, and engineering teams to co-innovate with Adobe's most strategic accounts - supporting the largest scale AEP and Apps implementations worldwide across both B2C and B2B use cases. The right candidate is hands-on, decisive, and energized by undefined problems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Day-to-day work spans discovery, architecture, and implementation. Senior Solution Architects lead deep discovery sessions with strategic customer teams, surface business goals and technical constraints, and own the solution architecture end-to-end. Co-innovation is central - prototyping and validating emerging AEP capabilities before they reach general availability, and translating customer pain into product feedback that flows directly into the Adobe roadmap.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining architecture foundations, blueprints, and labs that extend expertise beyond direct engagements.
  • Bridging customer insight and product development - collaborating across CE peers, Principal Architects, field teams, and engineering.
  • Communicating clearly with both technical practitioners and executives- through written docs, diagrams, and live presentations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Experience

  • 7+ years in technical or business consulting; at least 3+ years hands-on with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with AEP, RTCDP, AJO, or CJA - direct platform experience, not just product familiarity.
  • Proven ability to lead requirements workshops, ask hard questions, and push toward standard methodologies rather than the easy path.
  • Track record of designing and optimizing complex business processes across disparate systems in large, complex organizations.
  • Experience scoping and delivering large-scale web-based systems or full software product lifecycle engagements.

Technical Depth

  • Deep command of data collection and ingestion across web and mobile SDKs and backend integrations: tag management, data layers, identity methods, and offline data ingestion.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced SQL and Python skills - able to read, write, and debug implementation code independently.
  • Solid understanding of DMP vs. DSP vs. CDP distinctions, data ingestion patterns, identity graphs, and XDM schema development.
  • Hands-on experience using AI and agentic tools to accelerate solution development, implementation, and debugging.
  • Certification in at least one: Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, AEP, or AJO - active or recently held.

How You Work

Strong candidates are hands-on by default - prototyping, building, and getting into the product to prove out solutions. Clear written and verbal communication is essential: the ability to write an architecture doc for engineering and present findings to an executive in the same day. Self-directed and decisive, with proven experience removing blockers and taking ownership of outcomes. Comfortable operating in undefined territory where there is no established precedent.
