Primary Purpose
Supports accurate financial reporting and basic analysis to ensure compliance with established standards. Contributes to routine data preparation and reporting that enable informed operational decisions.
The Accounting, Finance and Operations Rotation Program provides challenging opportunities to learn and grow through short-term work assignments. The program will allow you to apply what you have learned in school and further enhance your knowledge and expertise through hands-on training. The program consists of three one-year rotations, where participants have the opportunity to work in various departments before pursuing permanent positions outside of the program.
The Accounting, Finance and Operations Rotation Program prepares participants to be future leaders within the organization through organizational exposure, technical training and mentoring. Many different departments participate in the rotation program including:
Accounts Payable, Audit Services, Customer Operations Technology, Customer Services, Financial Accounting, Gas Acquisition and Plant Accounting.

Requirements
* 3.0+ GPA
* Seniors or Masters students graduating May/June 2026 pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Quantitative Analysis or other relevant fields who will have completed at least 24 credits in their respective majors by graduation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assists in gathering data and preparing reports, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
* Contributes to the development of financial performance metrics and dashboards (e.g. resource utilization, efficiency metrics, profitability reporting).
* Supports the consolidation and reporting of financial results on a timely basis.
* Prepares and distributes financial reports for leadership following established templates and guidelines.
* Supports with analyzing financial data (e.g. for cost control, alignment to targets, etc.) and identifies potential issues or discrepancies.
* Participates in the close process, collaborating closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion.
* Supports maintenance and accuracy of financial data systems.
* Assists with preparing basic variance explanations for recurring reviews.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
