In addition to base compensation, the Sales Manager is eligible for commission and monthly car allowance of $600 (taxable). - Develop and manage new and existing customer relationships within midwest territory (IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, OH, TN, etc.).
- Execute territory and account sales plans, including forecasting and reporting.
- Travel extensively throughout territory (4+ days/week) to conduct sales calls and build customer relationships.
- Present, demonstrate, and recommend machinery solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Partner with Applications and Engineering teams to deliver technical solutions, training, and support.
- Represent the company at sales seminars, trade shows, and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and product developments to support sales and marketing strategy.
- Manage manufacturer representative relationships within territory.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, expenses, and administrative documentation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Person requirement).
- Associate's degree in a technical, industrial, or engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of sales experience in a related industry, ideally involving machinery, parts, or manufacturing processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, 80%+ within the assigned territory, with occasional international travel. Ideal candidates are located in the Midwest, preferably near Chicago, IL.
- Proven negotiation skills, including experience with pricing, contract terms, and value-based selling.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing quotes, technical documentation, and related materials.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent verbal communication, math, and computer skills. Experience with CMS/ERP systems preferred; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
