DevSecOps Engineer (Data Platform)

Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:



  • Builds and operates secure delivery pipelines and platform automation for CPE-STRI's data platform, enabling teams to deliver analytics capabilities faster while meeting Army/DoD security requirements.
  • Integrates security controls into the build/release process (scanning, baselines, configuration, logging) and supports operational readiness across environments.
  • Key Responsibilities include:

    • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data services, ETL jobs, and platform components with security checks and approvals.
    • Develop infrastructure-as-code and automated environment provisioning (networking, identity, storage, compute).
    • Integrate vulnerability scanning, container hardening, secrets management, and configuration baselines.
    • Support RMF/ATO evidence generation (logs, artifacts, control mappings) and continuous monitoring.





Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • 5 years of experience with BA/BS or MA/MS.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation in secure environments.
  • Experience implementing security-by-design controls and supporting operational compliance needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Active SECRET strongly desired; ability to obtain and maintain SECRET (or higher) required. Task-order DD254 may require higher clearance (e.g., TS/SCI).



Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):



  • Experience with STIG hardening, configuration management, and continuous monitoring toolchains
  • Experience supporting multiple product teams in a SAFe/Agile release train model
  • Security certifications aligned to DoD 8140/8570 requirements (task-order dependent)
