Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Technology Project Manager to collaborate with our government clients and help lead our cross-functional technical and analytical project team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset in project management, information technologies, people leadership, data analytics, and client relationship development. This individual will join our Data and AI practice in the DC Metro Area to help our clients to accomplish their mission and achieve their objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will:



  • Lead and guide the team to provide platform sustainment, development, enhancement, and transition to accomplish the tasks in the statement of work and meet contractual obligations and technical specifications
  • Serve as a primary client liaison, maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing day-to-day concerns and escalating issues when necessary to ensure the project meets client expectations, deadlines, standards, metrics, and targets
  • Coordinate stream leads and technology solution providers to develop plan project stages, assess implications, project schedules, product roadmaps, implementation plans, governance, and monitor progress
  • Oversee production of program analytics and deliverables including project reports, trackers, dashboards, and status updates
  • Provide guidance in analytics products development using tools and services including client platforms, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, Pro-Model, SAP, Databricks, and cloud-native services


  • Facilitate effective communication, establish documentation protocols, and support strategic planning for client programs


  • Perform PMO responsibilities including drafting and presenting project documentation, balancing workloads and allocating resources, managing risks and resolving issues, and controlling quality of work products
  • Assist the Program Manager by overseeing project plans, budgets and schedules, and supervising project streams to ensure optimal utilization, successful delivery, and client satisfaction
  • Support additional Data and AI practice activities such as demand planning, requirement gathering, delivery-led sales, people development, and solution development


Required Qualifications:



  • U.S. Citizenship is required


  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
  • Be at client site full time in Washington, DC metro area


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is required, preferably in a relevant field such as information technology, information systems, information management, computer engineering, computer science, data analytics, or data science
  • Minimum of 10 years of total professional experience
  • Demonstrated capability in:


    • Managing streams to provide enterprise-scale analytics platform sustainment, development, and enhancement
    • Leading streams to deliver work products that comply with quality, time, and technical targets
    • Leveraging expertise in data analytics platforms with composable tech stack such as SQL Server, R, Python, Power Platform, Tableau, SPSS, SAP BO, AWS, Azure, or Databricks to meet analytics requirements
    • Leveraging relevant IT development methodologies and tools such as to oversee platform development
    • Using programming languages and modern tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, and Databricks to develop pipelines, analytics, dashboards, and reports
    • Coordinating and influencing stakeholders, managing communications in fast-paced operational environments, and managing client expectations


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Currently active government security clearance
  • PMP, Agile, SAFe, ITIL certifications

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $145k - $175k.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
