Position Title: Network Test & Automation Engineer
Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Clearance: Top Secret (preferred) or Secret (required)
Position Overview
ISPA Technology is seeking a WAN Test & Network Automation Engineer to support hands-on testing of wide-area networking capabilities with a strong emphasis on general network engineering and Ansible as a force multiplier. This is a role for someone who likes real evidence: test design, test execution, defect isolation, automation, and the disciplined documentation that turns results into engineering decisions. You will help verify that network capabilities perform correctly, recover predictably, and stand up to operational scrutiny.
What You Will Do
- Plan, execute, and document network test events for WAN capabilities, transport services, and related integrations.
- Develop automation to accelerate test setup, baseline verification, regression execution, and result collection.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting during test events to isolate network, system, configuration, or integration issues.
- Collaborate with network engineers and developers to reproduce defects and verify fixes.
- Create clear test procedures, expected results, discrepancy reports, and post-test technical findings.
- Contribute to repeatable validation workflows that improve confidence before deployment or release.
Technical Environment
- WAN and general network engineering
- Hands-on test execution and discrepancy analysis
- Ansible-driven setup, verification, or regression automation
- Packet-level and service-level troubleshooting
- Technical test documentation and result reporting
Required Qualifications
- Experience in network test, integration test, or network engineering with strong validation responsibilities.
- Ability to design and execute technical test procedures and analyze results.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across connectivity, configuration, and system interaction issues.
- Experience with Ansible or comparable automation tools is strongly desired.
- Ability to communicate defects, findings, and engineering recommendations clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WAN-focused environments, SDN/SD-WAN, or transport systems.
- Background in formal verification, regression testing, or test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with mission-support or compliance-aware network environments.
Why ISPA Technology
- Work on meaningful defense and mission-support engineering problems with experienced technical teams.
- Contribute across automation, cyber, platforms, networking, integration, and test-not just one narrow lane.
- Join a culture that values ownership, technical depth, curiosity, and practical execution.
- Live and work in Panama City Beach, Florida, with direct access to a growing technical mission hub.
We are looking for engineers who combine technical depth with practical execution-people who can turn complexity into clarity, and design into dependable results
