Position Description Lead Business & Promotional Planning
- Own quarterly and monthly commercial planning cycles, including promotional strategy, offer construct, and channel alignment to achieve revenue and market share targets.
Drive Demand & Forecast Planning
- Develop and manage demand forecasts in partnership with Sales, Product, and Supply Chain teams; monitor forecast accuracy, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and capture opportunities.
Own P&L Planning and Performance Tracking
- Manage revenue, margin, and profitability planning; analyze variances vs. targets and drive actions to improve financial outcomes across channels and products.
Lead Executive Reporting & Business Insights
- Deliver clear, concise executive updates on business performance, including sales trends, forecast outlook, promotional effectiveness, and financial health.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment between demand plans, promotional activities, and inventory readiness.
Optimize Promotional Investments
- Evaluate ROI of promotional programs and recommend adjustments to maximize sell-out, improve efficiency, and protect margin.
Data Analysis & Action Planning
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and operational data to generate insights and translate them into actionable business strategies.
Communication & Influence
- Communicate complex business updates in a simplified, executive-ready format; build strong relationships across internal teams and headquarters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; an advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a telecommunications, CPG, and/or retail industry supply chain, business, finance, and sales operations management
- Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills. Knowledge of SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira is a plus.
- High energy and ability to learn quickly.
- Can work under varying work pressures, flexible
- Fluent in reading, writing, and verbal communications
- Strong desire to work in a highly collaborative environment, walks around the office, and does not become chained to the desk
Preferred Requirements
- At least 2-5 years' work experience in data & analytics, marketing, business program and process management, communications, and/ or sales operations.
- A Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, finance, or accounting is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven track record of driving successful product or program launches, communication & conflict management, company culture, and engagement.
- Implemented and managed the appropriate programs, polices, and processes necessary to support a business driving to specific metrics and discipline.
- Strong planning and operations skills.
- Outstanding time management, attention to accuracy/ detail, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Business acumen, short/long-range project planning, and execution.
- Understanding of product launch processes and product development cycles.
- A proven self-starter, good business judgment, and outstanding collaborative ability.
Necessary Skills & Attributes
- The ability to develop and maintain excellent new and existing working relationships with multiple stakeholder levels within and outside the company.
- Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven, matrix-management environment.
- Project Management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects, and a discerning level of attention to each as priorities change.
- Process Engineering / Business Transformation / Change Management experience.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
- The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames. A strong influencer with the relevant skills.
- The ability to complete tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.
