POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide overall management to HVAC and Electrical technical staff to ensure all mission-critical systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with national, state, and local codes.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Select, educate, develop and lead a team of facilities technicians responsible for maintaining mission-critical HVAC and electrical infrastructure
2. Ensure reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems supporting data center uptime objectives through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
3. Oversee daily facility operation, inspection, monitoring, and maintenance of critical infrastructure including cooling systems, UPS systems, generators, electrical distribution, and related support systems.
4. Manage 24x7 facilities coverage including on-call rotations, emergency response, and critical incident management.
5. Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with applicable codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
6. Coordinate closely with IT, data center operations, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to support operational continuity, infrastructure reliability, and capacity planning.
7. Serve as the escalation point for complex mechanical and electrical system failures impacting data center operations.
8. Monitor facility performance through Building Management Systems, electrical monitoring systems, and related infrastructure tools to proactively identify operational risks.
9. Serve as the facilities lead and primary point of contact for day-to-day data center operations, coordinating maintenance activities and infrastructure reliability with IT and operational leadership.
10. Manage the daily operational readiness of the data center facility, ensuring all critical infrastructure systems are maintained and capable of supporting uptime requirements.
11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
12. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, facilities management, or equivalent work experience plus
five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance with mission-critical
* Strong understanding of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure including HVAC systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution
* Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance programs in high-availability environments
* Knowledge of data center redundancy models such as N, N+1, and 2N
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-line diagrams, and technical documentation
* Strong operational decision making and incident response capability
* Experience managing vendors and contractors performing specialized facility work
* Valid driver's license required

JOB CONDITIONS:

* Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required
