FastTrak Application/Development Engineer

Primary Function:

The Application/Development Engineer focuses on development and support of our production software applications.

The position may require after hours or weekend work to maintain maximum uptime. Travel up to 40% - US only.

We are looking for a business minded individual to join our team. This role requires a strong background in SQL, application development and application support, attention to detail and excellent communications skills. This position will be an integral part of the team working with other application developers and application support to help design and implement new versions of our production software as well as optimize and normalize existing table data structures, stored procedures, triggers and views as well as some ASP and web development.

Required Skills:

  • SQL, ASP.NET, Visual Studio and other programming languages.
  • Ability to review code for trouble shooting.
  • Microsoft SQL Server (2005+)
  • Understand the business needs effectively and work with developers to design and draft modern and effective applications.
  • Review performance logs to track and analyze production issues and optimize stored procedures for improved database responsiveness.
  • Analytical skills and a business mind set
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think independently, and overcome technical challenges
  • Ability to clearly communicate abstract concepts to team members both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work on multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong analytical and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of waterfall and AGILE development methods (JIRA\Confluence)
  • Code review and controlling source code
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Primary Responsibilities

  • Designs, creates and maintains applications meeting standards of readability, performance, testability
  • Modifies and, alpha tests, and implements software programming applications
  • Maintain/Optimize existing code base
  • Work with Application developers to help define requirements and functional specifications
  • Prepares estimates for assigned projects and/or tasks
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve data issues
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree Preferred
Degree Field: MIS\CIS

Work Experience: 2-5 Years

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
