Stellar Solutions is seeking an Acquisitions Program Manager to support a mission-critical ground systems portfolio focused on advanced strategic communications capabilities. This role helps shape acquisition execution, technical alignment, and stakeholder coordination across complex defense programs that enable resilient, operationally relevant outcomes. Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role, you will help drive acquisition and program execution across ground system software and hardware efforts within a major defense environment. You will work across technical, programmatic, and stakeholder interfaces to help maintain momentum, manage risk, and support delivery of high-priority capability to the customer.

Key responsibilities include:

    Support DoD acquisition planning, contract management, program management, leadership, and business operations activities
  • Contribute to execution of Major Defense Acquisition Programs involving space-related ground system software and hardware
  • Support testing and fielding activities for ground systems or ground system components, including command and control terminals
  • Identify, analyze, and propose program risks, issues, and opportunities, and support development and execution of handling plans
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate engagement activities across the program
  • Prepare and use program materials in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Manage requirements and technical baselines in support of program objectives
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve program goals
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative in completing complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Support business and program operations with disciplined coordination and strong customer focus

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with DoD acquisition planning, contract management, program management, leadership, and business operations
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD Major Defense Acquisition Programs for space systems, including ground systems software and hardware
  • 2+ years of experience with testing and fielding ground systems or components of ground systems, including command and control terminals
  • Experience with identifying, analyzing, and proposing program risks, issues, and opportunities, and managing handling plans
  • Experience managing stakeholders and coordinating and hosting engagement
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience managing requirements and technical baselines
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively both on a cross-functional team and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with the Military Satellite Communications mission area
  • Experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Confluence or JIRA
  • Experience with the Software Acquisition Pathway
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Active Top Secret clearance is desired


Location

El Segundo, California - This position is full-time and supports a Government customer environment; Work style expectation is considered hybrid-local (2-4 days per week on site at LAAFB).

Compensation:

The typical salary range for this position is USD $145,000 - $185,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to salary).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
