Assignment Length: 10 weeks (with potential to extend or convert to fulltime) The Receiving Specialist plays a critical role in supporting hospital and clinical operations by ensuring timely, accurate receipt and delivery of supplies across the health system. This position is responsible for receiving, verifying, documenting, and delivering incoming packages using designated inventory and MMIS systems. The role operates in a fastpaced, physically demanding environment and requires a strong customer service mindset to support internal departments and care teams. Key Responsibilities * Receive and verify incoming purchase orders using MMIS and automated inventory systems. * Unpack, document, organize, and stage materials for safe and timely delivery. * Deliver supplies and packages promptly to internal departments and end users across the health system. * Load and unload shipments; operate pallet jacks and other materialhandling equipment as needed. * Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and storage areas. * Ensure purchase order accuracy and proper recordkeeping for all inbound and outbound materials. * Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, receiving, logistics, or supply chain environment (healthcare preferred but not required). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
