IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist - Cloud Architecture for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a member of the engineering team, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and socializing the infrastructure strategy and design for Global Banking Engineering. The specialist will have end-to-end accountability for technology design, engineering, implementation, and support, utilizing both on-premise (private) and off-premise (public) cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure solutions for cloud infrastructure
• Partner with internal architecture teams to define design patterns for Active/Active resiliency
• Develop deployment solutions for CI/CD pipelines
• Design for multiple regions, availability zones, storage, and network integration
• Partner with internal teams to set up appropriate access groups and restrictions
• Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met
• Monitor and assist with performance tuning
• Collaborate with engineering, developers, and stakeholders to align strategies with the modernization of the technology stack

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in designing and engineering solutions for large business capabilities
• Expert experience and knowledge in the design and engineering of applications hosted at external clouds such as Azure and AWS
• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
• Ability to lead and actively participate in conference calls with technical and business users
• Flexible to work in different shifts, including rotational night shifts and weekend support
• Experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, or XLR
• Working knowledge of JIRA, NEXUS, and ALM
• Exposure to Agile software development lifecycle methodologies
• Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and able to work with little supervision
• Computer networking skills and working knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, etc
• Understanding of web application communication protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, XML, etc
• Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration

Desired skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Expertise in Payment and Merchant Services capabilities
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certification
• Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL databases
• Linux (RHEL, CentOS) experience
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies with hands-on experience in Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking)
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools

Pay range: $65.80 - $73.80 per hour
