Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform visible armed patrols, and support security-related concerns with professionalism and care. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to stay active while delivering strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable teamwork with integrity in a dynamic environment.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and communicating with property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
  • Maintain readiness for an armed patrol post by following post orders, handling assigned equipment in accordance with company policy, and completing detailed reports related to incidents, observations, and/or resident interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
