Overview

Position Summary

The Global Pricing Director for the Waters Analytical Sciences Division is responsible for leading the development and execution of pricing strategy across a $3B global business. This role partners closely with the Enterprise Pricing Leader to translate enterprise pricing strategy into division-specific actions that drive price realization, margin expansion, and profitable growth.

The role serves as the primary owner of division pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance while enabling effective execution through regional pricing teams. This leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and Regional Pricing Managers to embed pricing as a core driver of business performance.

This is a highly visible, strategic role requiring strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.



Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Execution

    Develop and own the global pricing strategy for the Waters Analytical Sciences Division
  • Translate enterprise pricing objectives into division-level monetization plans
  • Drive initiatives to improve price realization, margin expansion, and revenue quality
  • Partner with Regional Pricing Managers to ensure consistent execution across markets

Enterprise Alignment & Governance

  • Partner with the Enterprise Pricing Leader to align on pricing strategy, targets, and governance frameworks
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise pricing policies, methodologies, and guardrails (e.g., discount authority, pricing corridors, deal desk standards)
  • Represent the division in enterprise pricing governance forums and councils

Price Adjustment

  • Lead the global annual price increase process for the division
  • Define segmentation strategies across products, customers, and regions in partnership with Product/Regional leadership teams
  • Monitor execution and performance, adjusting strategy to ensure realization targets are achieved

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Own pricing strategy for all new product launches within the division
  • Develop value-based pricing approaches aligned with product positioning
  • Partner with Product Management and Marketing to ensure pricing is embedded in stage-gate processes and approved prior to launch

Deal Strategy & Commercial Support

  • Provide strategic pricing guidance for complex and high-value deals
  • Partner with Regional Pricing Managers to support deal structuring, bundling, and pricing decisions
  • Ensure alignment with division margin objectives and enterprise guardrails

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Partner with the Enterprise Pricing Data Center to monitor pricing performance, including price realization, discount trends, and margin outcomes
  • Drive accountability across the division to meet pricing and profitability targets
  • Identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Sales Operations, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance to align pricing strategy with go-to-market execution
  • Act as a strategic advisor to division leadership on pricing and monetization opportunities

Market & Competitive Insights

  • Monitor competitive pricing trends and market dynamics
  • Incorporate insights into pricing strategy to balance competitiveness with value capture

Executive Communication

  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations on pricing performance, strategy, and recommendations
  • Communicate complex analyses in a clear, concise, and actionable manner


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • 8-12+ years of experience in pricing, strategy, finance, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience leading global pricing initiatives in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in price realization and profitability
  • Ability to work onsite at Milford MA location . Hybrid: Tuesday-Thursday on site; Remote Monday and Friday

This role is critical to driving sustained price realization and margin expansion within the Waters Analytical Sciences Division while ensuring alignment with enterprise pricing strategy.
