Responsibilities Norton Children's Allergy & Immunology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible allergist/immunologist. This position will include a faculty appointment within the University of Louisville's Division of Pulmonology, Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics. The ideal candidate will have an interest in caring for children with a wide variety of health concerns, from common allergic conditions to complex allergic and immunological diseases, including difficult-to-control asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis and immune deficiency disorders, some with dedicated multidisciplinary clinics. This individual would primarily provide outpatient care for children, with availability for inpatient immunology consultation services at Norton Children's Hospital. Additionally, this physician will provide immunology care as part of Western Kentucky's newborn screening program. Our primary outpatient clinic is housed in the 170,000-square-foot Novak Center for Children's Health, a state-of-the-art, eight-story facility located near Norton Children's Hospital in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The center brings together all Norton Children's pediatric specialty practices and features seven clinical floors, an on-site lab, pharmacy and radiology services, a rooftop garden and dedicated conference space. Comprehensive pulmonary function testing also is available on-site. Our integrated pulmonology and allergy/immunology team includes five board-certified pediatric pulmonologists and two nurse practitioners, supported by robust inpatient and outpatient ancillary services. We maintain an active pediatric pulmonology fellowship with two current fellows and are deeply engaged in teaching residents and medical students. Norton Children's Hospital is Kentucky's only full-service, freestanding tertiary pediatric hospital, exclusively focused on the care and well-being of children.
