As a Security Officer - Plaza Vehicle Patrol in Cerritos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, support security-related operations, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to remain visible, help to deter incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities throughout the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to management and/or public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols around storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, assist with crowd and line management during busy shopping periods, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns observed during patrols.
• Support retail operations by providing directions, answering questions, and addressing security-related concerns from tenants, employees, and visitors in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
