Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • One (1) year of experience in construction permitting.
  • Four (4) years of customer service experience.
Licenses or Certifications - HAVE AND MAINTAIN:
  • ICC Permit Technician certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processes or assists with residential and commercial Site Development, Plat and/or permit applications and issuing permits through the regular e-permit workflow.
  • Subject matter expert to Permit staff and public regarding more complex level concerns/problems.
  • Trains and mentors Permit Specialists.
  • Acts as workflow coordinator to both staff and applicants. Develops quality control procedures and reports to validate permitting data. Confirms addressing and all legal information on permit applications, utility information, and contractor licensing to prepare for distribution.
  • Develops systems and reports to track permits and monitor projects and permits in the system.
