Position Objective:

Plan, direct, control, and coordinate sales of the company's product portfolio to Daikin North America. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, build and maintain long-term, trusted customer relationships and understand customer goals, challenges, and business priorities. Will be responsible for Daikin North America (Daikin Comfort Technologies and Daikin Applied Americas), and other accounts as assigned. Ensure products are sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and sales volume, in relation to established commitments. Continually evaluates and modifies the company's channel strategy and sales action plans to meet both the company commitments and customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver assigned sales plan; build customer relationships, lead follow-up, and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, build and maintain long-term, trusted customer relationships and understand customer goals, challenges, and business priorities.
  • Conduct face to face and remote sales, evaluate customer needs and identify appropriate product solutions.
  • Collaborate with Manager on annual planning, sales goal development and objectives for the organization's activities to ensure achievement of business sales and profitability objectives.
  • Direct sales planning with Manager which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, market share, quotas, pricing, and distribution.
  • Recommend product modifications or improvements based on findings of marketing research, technical service work, or sales personnel feedback.
  • Recommend pricing policies including quantities, terms and conditions of sales.
  • S&OP collaboration with Customers, Manager, Fayetteville Plant Team, Operations Teams, and Purchasing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Engineering or related field;
  2. 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  3. Exposure/Understanding of high value-added product selling, pricing, negotiating and channel management.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate and sell both products and value concepts at all organizational levels.
  5. Be able to synthesize input and ideas into relevant and clear strategies and secure buy-in from internal/external teams and win product placement.
  6. A history of consistently delivering on expectations for growth and profitability must be demonstrated.
  7. Team player with proven success in building strong programs in the HVAC segment.
  8. This position can be located near any major airport;
  9. Weekly overnight travel will be expected in this role - 30% travel;
  10. Home office needed;
  11. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  12. Experience with SAP;
  13. Experience with Salesforce.com.
